On October 6, 2026, Barbara Bertagni and Fernando Salvetti will join Roxane Gardner for an international webinar exploring the effective use of extended reality, artificial intelligence, and conversational avatars in healthcare education.
How can Extended Reality move beyond technological demonstration and become an effective, accessible, and scalable learning resource?
This question will be at the center of “Extended Reality in Healthcare Simulation: Practical Strategies for Immersive Learning,” an international webinar hosted by HealthySimulation.com.
The session will be presented by:
- Roxane Gardner, Senior Director of Clinical Simulation Programs at the Center for Medical Simulation in Boston; Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School; member of the medical staff in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and within the Division of Gynecology at Boston Children’s Hospital.
- Fernando Salvetti, Founder and Managing Partner of Logosnet and e-REAL Labs;
- Barbara Bertagni, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Logosnet and e-REAL Labs.
The webinar will explore the use of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality in healthcare simulation, with particular attention to scalable formats that can also be experienced without headsets. Through demonstrations and applied examples, participants will see how immersive environments and AI-driven conversational avatars can support the development of clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.
The presenters will introduce realistic, high-stakes scenarios designed to enhance teamwork, crisis management, professional communication, and bias awareness. The session will also examine how these experiences can be incorporated into existing curricula by aligning immersive technologies with learning objectives and structured approaches to observation and feedback.
The webinar reflects the approach developed by Logosnet and e-REAL Labs: using Extended Reality and artificial intelligence not simply as technological innovations, but as components of inclusive, emotionally intelligent learning experiences designed to strengthen professional readiness.
